Rocksugar Restaurant & Karaoke Box - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

I booked a karaoke room over the phone for "just over twenty people" (these were my exact words), and was given the incorrect hourly rate of $18 for a small room, so the total at the end of the night was actually double what I'd been told. This restaurant also ... has very little online presence, so I couldn't confirm costs online (the Facebook page is inaccurate and inactive - the hours were wrong, and they never responded to a message sent days previous to me calling). Also, we spoke over the phone twice following my initial booking, so any discrepancies regarding the hourly rate should have been cleared up before. Additionally, while the workers were attentive to us, the bathrooms sucked, they tried charging my friend for his food twice, and the karaoke room was way too warm. While this may be a good place for some, my personal experience was bad, and I would NOT recommend it. Read more

The karaoke rooms desperately need updating - the lightning and sound systems are poor and the couches are ripped. The service is decent but it seems many of the drinks on the menu aren't actually available when you order them. The price for renting a karaoke room is reasonable however ... and they do have a massive selection of songs (English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese). Read more

Authentic food choices with a unique eating experience. Many options to choose and mix from. The staff are friendly and it's in a great location as well. It's not your typical westernized Asian food so first time going may be a little confusing but totally worth it. Only complaint I'd ... have is their BBQ menu is only in Chinese. Good place to do karaoke in a more private setting. Rooms were comfortable if a bit warm. Drink selection was solid and generally inexpensive with some interesting unique options. Staff were attentive, but abrupt. Overall good place to hang with friends, get some drinks and sing some karaoke. The private ... rooms mean it is a little more expensive, but there are no line ups, so you can sing as much as you can. Read more

The only Authentic hot pot buffet in Saskatoon ! Lots of choices with reasonable price. Love the new karaoke machine too! Great quality and you can download the songs yourselves!
