We got a good table at the front of the restaurant with a good view of the streets. Restaurant was very clean with an cozy ambiance. We had a party of five and two of us ordered steaks-both were raw in the middle (ordered medium). The appetizer ... of mushrooms (good flavor) and cheese pockets (also good) were very small-realized the apps are meant for a single person, hence why the waiter asked each person if they wanted an app when ordering. Simply amazing! Best beef tartare I’ve ever had and the steak and lobster was delicious. Waitstaff were super helpful and friendly. Parking is a bit difficult but to be expected. A must visit while in Quebec

During our visit to Quebec City to celebrate my husband's birthday, we decided to dine at the highly acclaimed steakhouse in the old port, where I had made reservations for 8 pm on a Saturday night. As avid steak enthusiasts, we were eager for a delightful culinary experience, given the ... restaurant's top-notch reputation. Unfortunately, our evening did not unfold as smoothly as anticipated. To start our meal, we ordered the steak tartare, burrata, and onion soup. While the overall quality of the food was acceptable, we encountered a hiccup with the tartare, which arrived without crostinis. We brought this to the server's attention, and by the time the issue was addressed, it was already 9:45 pm—just 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. The prolonged wait for our appetizers dominated a significant portion of our dining experience. Feeling pressed for time, we hastily placed an order for steaks and a couple of glasses of wine. Additionally, we requested the sides to be packed in a to-go container (which they didn't do). Regrettably, the steak arrived late and cold, accompanied by fries that were stale, imparting an unpleasant oily taste. Furthermore, the wine, ordered before the steak, arrived a staggering half an hour late, adding to the overall frustration of the evening. I show up on Christmas Eve without a reservation and they managed to find me a table as i was alone. The food was soo delicious and the atmosphere so cozy, the waiters were very kind. It was my birthday and the kind waitress singed for me. I highly recommend for ... family gatherings. Read more
