La Grolla - Quebec City, Quebec

We’re level 6 reviewers and this is a culinary excellency. I vote this the best restaurant I’ve been to in the last 12 months. Excellent fondue, unbelievable service. The guy and the lady both treat the place with love.

One of the reasons why you need to visit Quebec City except from the Chateau, the falls and the plethora of activities, is to have dinner at La Grolla!!! The best spot of the city has :Incredible food, amazing wine and great decoration with a unique attention to detail. Must try ... the classic fondue and the cheese fondue with some white or red wine, depending on your preferences. Big, big thanks to Olivier and La Grolla for offering us the best food and hospitality experience that we had, not only during our 3day visit in Quebec but in 5 years we have been to Canada. The food is good, the place is warm, and it has a great atmosphere. However, the dishes and lighting aren't suitable for taking great pictures. The map on the table looks old and isn't clean enough for my food. The onion soup took several minutes to arrive, and unfortunately, I ... wasn't satisfied with it. On the bright side, the fondue, both cheese and meat options, was excellent and highly recommended. Despite ordering a lot of food for two people, the total cost was just $85, which was a great deal. Food was very good and tasty. I had the Chinese fondue with beef and cheese cubes. Overall no complaints. The service was good and attentive. Prices were reasonable. Its a little out of the way and not near the main vibe so it's pretty quiet and not exactly a hip or ... happening place but like I said the food was good. Read more

Delightful experience on a very cold day in Quebec! We all got the trio and I had the seafood, hubs got the beef- excellent and fresh! The dessert was a but disappointing. I don't think it's pictured. We chose maple instead of chocolate. It was a plate of fruits and ... marshmallows- with a ramekin of maple dipping stuff- so not a heated fondue experience- plus the presentation lacked, left something to be desired. Our waitress was funny, kind and helpful. Overall a fun experience and dinner. Btw- they did not instruct how to do anything- so cooking times were determined on your own at your own discretion.
