Horrible, horrible service. If only it was only the waitress, but she got let go because it was a slow night (manager told me after I paid the bill) Cold plates, severe timing issues with all the food, wine and dessert on a Birthday night. There are so many better places ... in Quebec city, please go at either Matto if you feel like italian, or any other great place along Grande Allee (Ophelia, Louis Hebert, etc). Really slow service with the server almost never showing up. Asked for things that never came. Also it was very pricy for very little food (and they put it on a big empty plate to show you that there is little food). Most of the main courses we ordered were ... smaller than the entry. Although most of the food was really good, we left unsatisfied. The music was also very very loud and the restrooms were dirty. Will not go again or recommend. Read more

Hair in food and nothing was done....no apology, even charged me for my tea! I was there with two other people and paid for the entire table. As I was eating my Salmon pasta dish, I had the unpleasant experience of having to fish a hair out ... of my mouth....The waiter, called Andy, tisked and walked off with the dish, but never came back to apologize. When the bill came, I was surprised again to hear no apology, and no offer to pay for our coffee or dessert. My friends wanted me to raise a fuss or give zero tip, but the fault was in the kitchen and with how management trains its staff to respond to complaints. I will never return Read more

This place was the only place that was open past 10pm on a Wednesday night and we were so hungry. The service was really good and I can't complain about the food. We had pizza and pasta. I guess it's kind of touristy and therefore a bit pricey, but it ... was open, the service was fast and friendly and the food was fine. Read more

We visit Quebec City two to three times a year and found Savini on our first visit four years ago (loved it and make a point of dining there every visit). With that said, on our last three visits we have not been impressed (with each time getting worse) ... and Friday night will be our last time dining there as it was the worse experience yet. Our server was far from attentive to our table (or tables around us). The service was very slow, from taking our order to bringing our drinks/food. When our meals arrived (brought by someone other than our server, which is fine) I had to flag down our server for parmesan and pepper for our pasta. From there not once did he check on us to see if everything was ok with our meal. We then had to flag him down again for another drink. After our meal he dropped off the dessert menu, only to come back 20 minutes later....at this point we asked for the bill. As I stated at the beginning, we were not only in this poor service as we were observing the same around us and even had the table beside us mention something to us about it too. One last note, when being a server in a restaurant such as this I would think one would dress a little better and not look so sloppy (other servers in the restaurant were very sharp looking).
