Wow this place is An absolute 10/10 and I can already tell I’ll be returning. The barbacoa tacos were phenomenal (also 4 tacos for 12$ is an amazing price) , the guacamole was a hugeee portion with amazing fresh chips! The pineapple juice I had was fresh and delicious, and ... idk how but the beer is also so cold… Our waiter was an absolute gem and so sweet. Loved our first meal here, already excited for our second! No pics because we were too hungry… Read more
New owner is mexican and it shows in a change of menu and décor, it is now more colourful and flavourful than before. We tried the Barbacoa (lamb) tacos and Jamaica (Hibiscus) water as well as the classic pupusas.
If you're a lover of pupusas and want to feel at home, Iris will take care or your hunger pangs while ensuring you appreciate the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. Run by an amazing maître d', Iris is a blend of simple El Salvadoran food with a touch of personality ... that only the fresh flavors can bring! I'd recommend the Pupusas, Tamales and the Enchiladas! You'll most likely be smiling at the end of your meal because of the satisfaction 😌 Read more
Platanos fritos: the fried plantains were good, tlnot too dry, just enough sweetness, soft. Pair really well with the sour cream. I don't like the diluted liquid frijoles (refried beans) Frijoles: diluted and liquid :( Pupusas: only the ones with cheese offer a certain degree of crunchiness. Honestly, we tried 8 pupusas ... out of the 10 on the menu and I only like the ones with cheese. Traditionally eaten with sour cole slaw (which was good) and tomato sauce (which was too sour for me), when you decide to eat it on it's own, the ones without cheese were pretty bland. But it's good with their hot sauce. It's clear this place is very authentic, whether it'd be the employees, the menu in spanish and the decor. I was only able to try the pupusas this time, but I'm interested to come bacj and try other dishes. I don't recommend the frijoles. I recommend the pupusas with cheese. Read more

So so delicious! The prices here are fair, the portions are generous, and the servers are super kind. This restaurant is such a gem and we'll be back for sure. I highly recommend any of the pork pupusas! They're delicious and very filling - I only managed to eat two of ... them despite ordering three, but they're just as good as leftovers. They come with coleslaw and a very tasty tomato sauce for dipping. Read more
