The only real taste of Guadeloupe in this city. No matter how cold it might get Saveur Soleil never fails to bring that Caribbean warmth into my life! By far my favorite restaurant in Montreal!
I feel like I have to reply and comment on one of the reviews made a week ago from N/A. Clearly, Saveur Soleil does not have any management skills based on the condescending replied they've commented. First, a side note regarding that Haitian comment. The person clearly said "Haitian/Caribbean" restaurant. If ... you went to school AND graduated, you would know that Guadeloupe and Martinique are Caribbean countries... Sencond, if you have a business in Canada, it is not going to last if you are rude and condescending to customers. That is not the Canadian way at all to run a business. Actually, it is not any smart and honest business way to run a business. Specially, if you are not even able to counter-arguing his/her Smartphone history log with FACTS, which said that it had been 40 minutes since they had called to place an order. You are the only business in Montreal, maybe even in Quebec and Canada, that is called Saveur Soleil. So, the review IS FOR YOUR BUSINESS, no one else's. Bankruptcy is right in the corner for your company if you don't learn how to properly run a business. That old white woman (no prejudice entailed ) should go get some Canadian management skills because she will be your downfall. Been two times, enjoyed the first meal though I felt the service was professional yet lacking the warmth that is associated with the Caribbean. However my second time was below my expectations despite the waitress's friendly smile. I did not feel welcome as a customer.

Nice place with a nice selection of French Caribbean good (Madinina and Gwada). Their sorbet is out of this world. I would recommend also trying on their cocktails. A ti-punch is always a good start!
