large variety of baked treats, also serves coffee. nothing spectacular about the taste of the items; coconut cream tart wasn’t the most flavourful. presentation on the treats? absolutely gorgeous.

I apologize if my expectations for the bakery were too high, but they did not meet them. They heated the croissant in the microwave, which I couldn't believe. I ate it anyway to avoid making the young lady who served me feel bad, as her service was excellent. As for ... the croissant, it was not enjoyable at all since it had become a sticky, doughy mess. The worst part was the coffee, which was extremely bitter and of very poor quality. The roast was so bitter that it lost all the attributes of a good coffee, which should be more fruity and smooth. Very fast and friendly service, despite big crowd. Neighborhood is quiet, so it was nice to eat, chat, and walk around. Will be coming back

Felt like a proper french bakery to me... not that I've been to France (yet)! Service was tres geniale and there was a good selection of baked goods to choose from. Red velvet (cinnamon) bun! I live in Minnesota, but I fully intend on making a trip back to Winnipeg just to get my hands on another almond croissant. It was superb. Because my family of 3 is ambitious when it comes to pastries, we tried the: plain croissant, almond croissant, Nutella croissant, maple tart, blueberry ... danish, carmel roll, and coffee. A lot, I know, but — we walked a few miles to/from the bakery and knew this would be a highlight of our first trip to Winnipeg (it was indeed a highlight). Everything was so good and our anticipation was so high that I forgot to get “before” pics. Whoops. The croissants were just right, the maple tart had that pure, Canadian maple taste, and the coffee was smooth. We will be back and we fully intend to try sandwiches for lunch next time. Read more
