The Cactus - Waterloo, Ontario

This is one the best places I’ve been for Mexican food - very authentic and delicious. Staff is great, and the feel is also nice. Highly recommend.

We came an hour before closing and the server was very friendly! I loved the tacos! I moved out of Toronto and I missed the homie feel. This place has it! I really enjoyed the background music playing as the vibe!

I don’t recommend the Enchiladas Rojas (didn’t enjoy the flavor is it) but the Guacamole was delicious. The restaurant is expensive I think. The drinks were good. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is good, it was very busy on a Saturday evening but it didn’t take long to get our food, kudos for that. The food is generously served, tacos al pastor come with 2 tortillas and you can still make 2 tacos out of ... it and the alambre is enough for 6 tacos too so good value for the price, they have vegetarian options and off menu stuff like birria quesadillas last night that were pretty delicious. The food was delicious. The tacos de pastor were amazing, and the enchiladas looked to die for, that is what I’ll be getting next time. The service on the other hand wasn’t great, so manage your expectations on that front. They served some tortilla chips & salsas before the meal which ... were great, but a table of 6 received the same amount as a table of 1 or 2, which was a bit disappointing and an opportunity for improvement in my opinion.
