Al Fogolar offers classic southern Italian cuisine, including the generosity. I think it hits home as a higher mid-range restaurant: great for socializing, good service, and normal-to-decent pricing. It could use a little improvement in keeping the portions and flavours balanced. It would be approaching 5 stars for the price ... point if it focused on these two aspects of the customer experience. To die for pasta!! Homemade and delightful! This place has a great rustic feel and feels very old world. Great service ⭐️ angel wings pastry for dessert... my faverite! Even saw a local celebrity. Can't wait to go back!! Compliments to the chef 👨🍳
They will rip you off on alcohol to the point of being criminal. We had a lunch baptism for 30 people and apparently drank 15 bottles of wine + beer and spirits. Do not go cash bar, this isn't the first time this has happened. Too bad ... cause the food and service was amazing but an extra $1000 charge when we knew people didn't drink that much was embarrassing.
