A tiny little Thai eatery in Kitsilano, right across from the beach. You order at the front and they bring your food to your table. Tried the green curry chicken combo. Good execution with tender chicken and eggplant that wasn't mushy. The red curry kang daeng sapparod came with asparagus, pineapple, ... tomato, and basil. Awesome casual Thai restaurant by Kits Beach! Great prices and casual dining atmosphere. Loved the combo options and great portions.

I went to Basil restaurant to buy spring rolls to enjoy in front of Kitsilano Beach with my baby pet, the food was good and fair price but the waitress was so rude to me because my little dog came with me into the open place to order my dish, ... also push me out because she argued not allowed a pet-friendly place. it is so sad how some people are not friendly pets. too bad.¹ Read more

Wish they said vegan on the board because I was hoping for meat in the spring roll. It’s really plain and not worth buying even if you’re vegan ahaha. Have had better vegan spring rolls at other Thai restaurants!

Unbeatable prices for lunch specials and just a stone’s throw from kitsilano beach. If you like Thai food and don’t mind the atmosphere too much, Thai Basil is a great option to visit whether to sit in or take out. You order and pay ahead at the counter and they’ll ... deliver the food to your table. I got the pad thai and my partner got the grilled chicken.
