Great place!! Awesome food and outstanding service.

First time trying Portuguese food, so didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The outside of the restaurant may not look like much, but once you get inside, it feels like you are somewhere in Europe. We were there on a Sunday, and was greeted by an old friendly ... lady. She was the only server there, so the place might not be suitable for very large crowds. But for our group of 3, the food came out fairly fast. We ordered their Piripiri chicken over fries which is only available on weekends. We also ordered a sausage that came in a cute flaming pig porcelain container. And we ordered a dish of pork cubes, clams, and sausage in a white wine and garlic sauce over fries. All the dishes tasted great. The sausage and chicken were flavorful. And the pork was surprisingly tender. Both the pork and clams went very nicely with the garlic sauce that acted as gravy for the fries too. Split 3 ways, the cost was about $17 per person for this meal. We'll likely come back to try out their other dishes. Read more

Really great food. The pan fried shrimp and sausage were amazing. If you want the whole Piri Piri Chicken call ahead to let them know. It's delicious and I highly recommend getting it. I almost don’t want to tell people about this place, because I love it so much. A little hole in the wall run by a very sweet family. Love their seafood options, love the flaming sausage and oddly enough their simple green salad is a favourite - just goes to ... show how great their food is. We had a wonderful family dinner on Friday night at Casa Verde. Our server (Sarah) was fantastic and the food she recommended was all really yummy. Favourites were the prawn appie (such a taste secret sauce) and the chip fries with gravy.
