When we came to dine in, the server informed us that the sides and appetizers were unavailable. We were a little disappointed but decided to stay. Food looked really good however the taste was just lacking. So I asked if they had any chili seasoning or vinegar but they didn't have ... any. The broth could use some work; but also could be because we picked “normal” for broth thickness. It turned out to be way too light and thin. The flavoring is mild, the soy taste is a little strong for my liking. Inside seating is available; it’s very limited. They encourage take-out. Prices ... are reasonable (it was $11.50+tax for regular shouyo). But after I had the ramen, i understand why this place has cheaper prices than other ramen places downtown. Service was lovely. Shoyu ramen lacked flavour and body. Pork chasu was dry and paper thin. Half egg was salty. Extra $4.25 for mentaiko rice set was disappointing as well. Unfortunate as I really wanted to enjoy this ramen joint right below my crib. UPDATE: I guess they worked out the kinks since ... the early days as my second visit was delish!! We tried yah yah yah ramen in Richmond before. Here is a branch in downtown Vancouver and we would like to try if it was good. The answer was great! Pricing was a little bit cheaper than their competitor on the same street. We ordered miso ramen and shoyu ramen plus onigiri. ... We could choose the texture of the ramen and the oil and the taste of the broth. We were satisfied with the quality of food. The ambiance was great that the restaurant was spacious. Indeed their entrance and foyer have a lot of space that they can make use of the space to put more tables and serve more customers. We waited a little longer than the time we waited at yah yah ya ramen in Richmond. Other than waiting for the food, we had a great eating experience here. Read more

We've been meaning to check out this place for a while! It wasn't the best tasting Ramen we've ever had, but it's cheaper and close to home so we'll be back. They did mess up the noodle though, but they were quick to remake it and apologized. We enjoyed their onigiri, ... pictured below. Read more
