Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba - Vancouver, British Columbia

Had a double date here and was obsessed! I ordered the Mentaiko Cream Mazesoba and it was as expected. I love the interior and the way the restaurant was set up made it very comfortable for four seating. The noodles were bouncy and chewy, the flavour was very savoury. I ... love the toppings as well. For dessert, we ordered the Hokkaido Soft Serve and I really wanted to get another one. I was willing to come back here just for the soft serve. Definitely want to return and try a different bowl! Ordered Vegetarian Ramen on an Ritual app. Message said that the order be ready in 20 minutes. I literally work right beside there. Had to show my order to staff to verify the order (which I thought was good). When I opened it, I was like, where's my soup. Then realized ... the restaurant separated the soup from the food itself so it does NOT absorb all of the soup, which is awesome idea (see photo) Unfortunately, my soup was not hot, and it was more on the cooler side. Nice bonus is extra noodles at no cost. Limited selection of broths. Spicy is not spicy at all and has chili peppers for extra heat.

I highly recommend it. The service is really good, we went there when It was really busy and still servers They made sure to give us good service, the food was really good, they offered us extra noddles for free, the food is tasty and good size, eating the cheesecake ... was all an experience, you can feel the cheesecake melting in your mouth, so yummy besides the cute presentation. The only thing to highlight is the spicy level, I have been there, and I ordered both time ramen spicy level 2. The first time was really spicy. However, I really enjoyed it. The second time, it was not spicy as the first, so it is difficult to know what level you gonna get every time, However, I emphasize that despite the spicy level, ramen always has an amazing flavor. First time trying mazesoba and absolutely loved how flavorful it was! The noodles were bouncy and when you mixed it everything together with some of their vinegar it made for a unique tasting dish. I would highly recommend their extra scoop of rice at the end option as well and ... mixing it in which absorbs all the flavor. Their drinks are also pretty good as well as their ice cream too. I would pass on their karaage though, nothing special for that. Read more
