Ramen here was OK. Small location in Kerrisdale. It does get pretty busy for dinner. The woman who served us was attentative and respectful to us and our baby boy. The Ramen was alright. It wasn't the best Ramen we've had. But it certainly wasn't the worse and it was ... kind of expensive! $14 for a bowl of Ramen is pricy!! It's worth a try maybe once or twice. Parking is only on the street and you'll have to pay for street parking of course. There is free parking about five minutes away. Overall. The food was OK, the service was good by our waitress. And the ambiance and atmosphere was decent. This wasn't our first time at JINYA and the menu has changed. They don't have the traditional Shoyu Ramen on the menu!! They've got a variety of Ramens on their menu. But not many of them appealed to my wife and I. I think there are better options for Ramen in the city for sure. One of the best Ramen I have ever tried. Expecting a long wait time but still worth to wait. Soup base has balance taste and spicy part is just perfect. Highly recommended.

This place is OK. It's not out-of-this-world ramen, but it was alright. My mom got the California Poke Bowl and I got the Spicy Chicken Ramen (see attached pics). My mom really enjoyed her poke bowl (she got a small one) and said the quantity was perfect. My ramen was a ... little on the bland side despite it being "spicy" and the chicken broth was a tad bit overwhelming, to be honest. But we were seated right away (which I know is quite rare--I guess we just went in at the perfect time). Like everyone else mentioned, it is overpriced and it isn't exactly worth it. We must have arrived at the right time cause we got seated right away. It was the first time at this location and we sat at the bar near the door. Note to anyone afraid of the cold, don’t sit at the bar. The door is constantly opening and the ... breeze is brutal during the cooler months. We ordered the Cha Cha Cha, ebi mayo, and the Chef special tokyo tonkotsu ramen. My Cha Cha Cha was a bit too garlicky for my taste and a bit salty. We went there in the evening without reservations, it was busy. We had to wait for about 20 min for 2 people but we didn't have to stand in line, they have a TEXT system where they text you when your spot is ready. We went across the street to ... shop around while we waited for our table. But let me tell you, it was worth the wait!! The food here is absolutely amazing and the service we received from the waitresses was phenomenal. They were so friendly and gave us some great recommendations. For appetizers, we went with the fried chicken and it was absolutely delicious!! The chicken was so tender and moist, I think it's the best fried chicken I've ever had! It was THAT good! We only got the 5 pieces of fried chicken but they come in 10 and 15, I believe. As for the Ramen, I got the slurp up cilantro and my friend got the Cha Cha Cha - for garlic lovers. They were both really good and we opted for the extra noodle right at the beginning. We also got a yogurt flavoured drink that was really really good! For the extra noodles, we left a bit of soup so we could add it into it, then added their made-in-house chili sauce and it changed the flavour and aroma totally! It was amazing.
