Excellent Japanese comfort food with the highest quality - chef takes great pride in ingredients. Ecstatic to finally find the omurice that slices open here in Vancouver, and it was absolutely delicious as was the kinpira and omurice we tried. Dessert of yuzu posset also a rare dessert here and ... it was exquisite. Neighbourhood is tough to find parking but once inside it’s very relaxing with brick walls and soft music. The Omurice is DELICIOUS with the vegetable curry. Sandwiches are light and fluffy. Don bowls are packed with goodies and the nigiri rice alone is fantastic. Hard to find parking but worth the trip!

Environment: - Located not far from Chinatown, homeless issue & forever-delay city development projects are not Dosanko's fault. Glad to find them standing and running here. - Clean interior and bathroom, house music on the background, welcoming environment Food: - All dishes well done except for the cod croquette. The white radish is unflavored, ... and the croquette is overly salty. Even when I mixed them together, the salty flavor still overpower the natural umami of the ingredients. Service: - Server team provided a good service. They explained the menu well. When in doubt, they went for confirmation and gave clarified answer. - One thing to be noted is that since most of the sauce are house-made, whenever you need any sauce, they will come with extra charge. So happy that i finally go to try a proper omurice dish and it certainly lived up to my expectations! The egg was soft and just runny enough and the hayashi beef stew paired well with the rice. The most mindful setup I’ve ever seen. We had our toddler with us and were seated in the “children’s” area. It was private, they had toys for children, and for those who know the struggle of a high chair, they have a round table. This thoughtfulness of the customer is ... what stood out the most to me. The food was amazing, the service was kind and patient. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the menu. The 3 course meal is highly recommended. Read more
