Fantastic food, had a great brunch - the short rib and salmon benedicts we're well prepared with great ingredients, as was the risotto - the waffle was ok, but nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I've knocked one star off because the coffee ... was not up to par - with so many fantastic local roasters there's no excuse not to have well prepared, good coffee. Easy 5 star if this improves! Had a #dineoutvancouver meal here. Everything is delicious and cooked consistently perfect. Dishes are definitely elevated and creative. Service was great. Wish I had a full size pasta plate to stuff my face with and feel full. Wine list is long and pricey.

Stayed at OPUS Hotel in Vancouver, and dined at La Pentola for dinner and breakfast. Shared the five course "chef's choice" meal for dinner and had the beef short rib eggs Benedict and breakfast risotto for breakfast. Among the best eggs Benny I've ever had. Very good experience overall. The server Marion was really friendly and nice. The food was great. We shared 2 appetizers, 1 pasta, 1 main and 1 dessert and was more than enough and a good way to try different things. 1) Grilled Octopus: portion was perfect and taste was amazing 2) ... Meatballs: taste was very good but nothing extraordinary 3) Duck Pappardelle: very good and a lot of confit canard on it 4) Osso buco: taste was good and the risotto was good as well but the meat could have been cooked a but longer to be tender 5) Orange Panna Cotta: I'm not a big fan of sweets but this one was really good. Definitely recommend for date night or go with friends but you gotta share to enjoy. Read more

Services were excellent. The food were exceptional. We had four girls with small appetite so we order some appetizers and two main courses to share. The server was so cool about it and did not make us feel uncomfortable at all. I would definitely go back again!
