Main Kabab Hut - Vancouver, British Columbia

I had a nice experience at Main Kabab Hut, the kababs (beef, lamb and chicken) were tasty, the rice pillowy soft, and the salad fresh. The naan bread, looked and tasted like store bought (they were not made in a tandoor) and I ordered 5 of them, I will not order ... the naan next time. The baklava was amazing 👍👍, made in house! I liked the food taste-wise, but the portion was too small for me. It would feel filling if the portion was bigger. As it's a salad with chicken (donair), it would need more quantity of the salad portion. Price is not bad in general.

The food is great. Garlic naan, chicken kabob, lamb biryani, mango lassi - all on point. You know the biryani is the real deal when it has cinnamon sticks and cardamom pods still in it. The depth of flavour was fantastic and the level of heat just right. The owner/chef is ... super nice but when we were there near 1pm, he was the only one working (taking orders, serving drinks, making the food, taking payments, clearing tables). This local establishment has a good selection of middle eastern foods. They have some outdoor seating. The food is reasonably priced and fair portion size. Dine in is not a great experience if you're not looking to grab a quick bite. However, it looks like a popular to-go place for kababs. The table was not cleaned. Looks like a family owned local business. A young cook took the order and was honest about the wait ... time. I order a chicken leg which came with Naan and rice. Pricing was cheap.
