The best restaurant in Vancouver this year! A small Michelin star restaurant in a questionable neighborhood. Food was amazing, and the service was good. But, they kept my wine glass empty so I had to ask for more wine multiple times. The place reminded me of Montreal neighborhood ... restaurants with great vibes. Read more
Simply one of the top three meals I’ve ever had in my life, and the only one I’ve eaten at a restaurant that shares my name! They had one seat at the bar available on short notice on Friday night and I was visiting Vancouver, so it was a natural ... fit. The food was spectacular, the cocktails were wonderful, and the wine pairings were perfect. The bartender, whose name I can’t remember, was friendly, skilled, and always willing to take the time to answer any questions. If I’m ever back in Vancouver, I’ll be going back to St. Lawrence. This was certainly the best meal I have eaten in my life. I opted for the wine parings and they are a must! There is nothing that I didn’t like and I wouldn’t even be able to pick a course that was my least favourite. Service was absolutely impeccable! I work ... for a luxury hotel chain in the city and it showed me the service I need to strive for when I am assisting a guest. When I left to go to the WC I came back to my napkin folded again which was a very nice touch. Finally, the atmosphere was nothing less than astounding. It was a laid-back more casual feeling yet refined and elegant. It felt like I was transported back to France. I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while and I’m glad I finally did. Bringing in Quebec-style cooking to the west coast in a wonderful marriage of flavours is what you can expect here. Definitely get the pork rinds as the add on, they’re tasty and addictive! Service was attentive ... and fantastic. Food came at a decent pace, depending on your dining style.
