If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my entire life at the Alexander. I was celebrating my birthday on Friday, February 24th at this club and was having a great night until unfortunately my coat ... check ticket slipped out of my purse. My friends had coat checked their coats right before and right after me so I knew the exact tag number and did not think it would be a huge issue. As I approached the coat check attendant to explain my situation, she was extremely rude to me and was not understanding whatsoever. It was 1 degree outside and was extremely cold, so I was very desperate to get my coat back. I described my coat to her, gave her the size, and gave her $10 (on top of what I paid to check my coat in the first place) to grab it for me. When she took my money, she confirmed that my coat was there but refused to give it to me if I could not give her the brand name (even though I thoroughly described what it looked like, showed her a picture of me wearing it, and the exact size of the coat and what was in the pockets). Out of frustration, I went to speak to the manager to see if she could help me get my coat back. The manager went to speak to the coat check attendant, and came back to me and told me she "did not have the authority" to retrieve my coat for me. What kind of "manager" does not have the authority to grab a coat from the coat check? In addition, when I asked for my $10 back, the manager completely ignored me and disappeared. I finally gave up on getting my coat back and had to go home coatless in the freezing cold ON MY BIRTHDAY. I was also completely inconvienienced because I was forced to return the following day to retrieve my coat since the staff were extremely unaccommodating on the Friday night. Overall, I have never been so disgusted with the way that I was treated that evening. The coat check attendant had an extreme attitude problem and the manager clearly supported it. I cannot believe that this establishment feels that it is acceptable to treat paying customers the way that they treated me. Unfortunately, this experience at the Alexander completely ruined my birthday and has guaranteed that neither me, nor my friends, will ever be returning. Would not recommend this place to anyone. RUDE front of house staff. We were told free cover before 11 then got there and they told me only 5. I asked if they could at least give the DD free cover.. the attitude that was given to me was as if I'd ask her for her ... unborn child. Had an awful experience here. Went in the front door, got my wrist stamped and I went to continue on to the bar with the rest of my party when someone forcefully grabbed my arm. Turned out it was a bouncer, wearing street clothes with no identification, that I ... was walking past just after I got stamped. How am I supposed to know that this aggressive person works here? And why is he checking my stamp when he could have stood two paces back and visually saw me get stamped by the greeting staff. He was extremely rude to me, the customer! This place is the best especially when SJS is hosting their event here. Lots of room to hang, drink and dance. The club has multiple levels and they manage to keep good airflow in here even on crowded nights.

Came here for a concert and we were lucky that it wasn't packed; it's not a great layout for concerts but to go and have some drinks it would be nice. Lots of places to sit down or stand around. The staff were very energetic and helpful.
