Very popular ice cream place and I can see why now. I got coffee toffee (very coffee flavoured but the sweetness from the tasty toffee helps offset the bitter coffee) and cracked mint. So good, the 2 scoop was $7 and they have a variety of sizes. However, it generically ... comes in a cup so you have to pay $1.5 for a waffle cone, which tastes good but feels pricy to me. The inside is somewhat air conditioned so the ice cream didn’t melt right off the cone and there’s nice seating if you can catch a spot as the place is crowded at times. Will return if possible! Good ice cream. They have really interesting monthly flavours and the regular flavours are also iconic. They have a vegan chocolate peanut on regularly, and 1 or 2 of the monthly specials are usually vegan. Compared to competitors, their ice cream isn't as creamy, particularly the vegan flavours, but it's ... still pretty good ice cream. Even though I prefer the texture of other ice cream like Earnest or Elephant Garden, I sometimes like Rain or Shine's flavour options better, and so I go to all of them periodically. The thing that I think Rain or Shine does better than anyone is actually the waffle cone, which is thick, almost like a cookie, and always fresh. It's a very substantial cone so my favourite way to enjoy the cone is actually in taco form on Taco Tuesday, where you can get a "taco" sundae with 2 scoops and a topping on a waffle cone taco shell which seems a little smaller than the waffle used for the regular cone. The lineup here is usually not too long and moves quickly (compared to Earnest). Read more
This place is definitely up there on my favorite ice cream places to choose from. Fresh wafle cones, you can't go wrong! They have great flavors, but you only get 2 samples... makes your decision a little harder. Staff are friendly and cute little shop. Definitely recommend stopping by and ... getting some ice cream! My rating: 9.2/10. I came here on a warm and sunny spring day and it was packed, as you would expect in Vancouver. The line was out the door but the wait didn’t take very long, and there was water to drink while waiting. The staff were super friendly and ... gave some good recommendations, and everything was made pretty quickly. Ice cream tasted great, there’s no denying that, I would gladly go here over and over again. They have tons of unique flavour options, including seasonal flavours, and a wide variety of toppings to choose from too. The servings are generous in both their cups and cones, and they do a good job of making them sturdily so it’s not a massive risk with kids. I love that you can sample flavours too. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and would definitely recommend it if you want some ice cream in Vancouver. Great location too. Read more

Their ice cream is very yummy and reasonably priced. We had 2 flavours single for $5.50 each. My favorite was coffee toffee but mango lassi and peach Bellini were also very good. The serving was fairly large and flavours were genuine.
