It’s a bit pricey but that’s Vancouver and inflation for ya. Proper Hong Kong style cafe food with good items and… not so good items. Service is well, cha chaan tang style. Hustle hard and sometimes avoid hard lol. Can’t blame the service staff sometimes you got 5 things in your ... head, a lineup, and people wanting to pay their bills. I usually do more take outs from this place rather than dine in. It’s crazy busy here. I never tried their breakfast here. I heard that’s where they shine the most apparently? Went there with a bunch of hiking friends. It was a busy Sunday night. The food was really good, but the service was even better. The only slight negative is that they do not serve alcohol. Overall an amazing experience.

We had beef steam rice rolls, beef shank noodle soup, chicken & mushroom congee and some Chinese donuts. Their food is still good like the first time I tried 6yrs ago, at a reasonable price. My first visit to this restaurant was unintended and on a snowy day. When most of the Chinese restaurants were closed by 9:30pm, it stayed opened till 10:00pm. Six of us ordered 5 dishes to share because this restaurant was known for its big portion. The stir fried flat noodles with ... beef in brown sauce and the stir fried spaghetti with beef in pepper sauce taste very good. I would say that they are comparable to those I used to have in Hong Kong. The next in line is the baked chicken fillet with rice in tomato and meat sauce. The fillet came in pre-cut which makes it very convenient to eat. I noticed that the menu offers a wide variety of Hong Kong style food like congee, egg noodles and rice noodles, toasts, sandwiches, main dishes and side dishes. We went to this Cafe twice during our recent visit to Burnaby, breakfast the first time and another time lunch. We liked the congee+rice roll breakfast combo a lot. It is really a good deal at that price. For lunch, we ordered a curry beef brisket with rice ... and baked thick cut pork chop in creamy tomato sauce with rice. The latter tasted excellent but the curry was a bit disappointing. There was a bit of source taste to the curry sauce, may be the cook did not wash the wok after cooking a sweet and sour dish.
