White Spot - Vancouver, British Columbia

Brought our team in for a large group reservation, we were seated a little later than the original reservation time however the manager was great, kept us informed (they were very busy) and once seated both managers and servers were prompt to get orders in for 26 guests. The food ... came out together which often I find does not happen with large parties, and was hot and delicious. This was my first time it this White Spot. It is small but cozy with nice atmosphere. We had a nice and friendly server, but she served us food where we had no cutlery, so we asked for it, but then forgot us and had to asked again. She apologized multiple ... times. I had the Gochujang Lettuce Wraps. Good portion and good taste, but they had been only luke warm, and overdone (to crispy, even wondered if there was any chicken in them or mainly panade...). As I was hungry I didn't say anything and just ate. Plum sauce was good but too little. I asked for more which came in good time and also didn't get charged extra for it. After I was nearly done I saw a.lirtle black bug on my lettuce. No idea what kind of bug it was. I showed it to our server, she apologized and that was it... In other restaurants they offer you to make you a new meal or that you don't have to pay for it. So this little white spot is cute but sadly sub par quality :( Update: I came back today. The service was excellent!! I asked for her suggestion and she recommended the Turkey, Bacon & Brie Dip which I never had before (usually I would go with the traditional bees deep). The sandwich was really nice, good and interesting flavour with the light dip. The fries could have been fried a little longer. I also ordered their blueberry milkshake which was, like.in the past, really good! I will be back again. PS. I updated my last review score and gave them higher ratings on service and food. Shout-out to all you helpful and courteous staff working up front on tables. We feel taken care of and always enjoy the conversations between us. We have decided over all that this location has the best cooks and servers. Oddly we go to many. Especially when friends come to town to ... visit and they want white spot. Very friendly staff, the restaurant itself is a little dated but is clean. White Spot is our go-to place for holiday dinners because we don't want to deal with dishes or cooking. Parking is very limited, circled the lot multiple times before giving up, and found parking elsewhere. Everything was ... good and I have no complaints. Had a great first time at White Spot. The food and the service was excellent.
