For a place that specializes in "stock", soup. It was underwhelming... The soups lacked seasoning! Salt would have made it a little better. I ordered the salmon chowder. Long lines generally indicate good things when it comes to food, and the lobster bisque on the menu was enough of an enticement for my wife to brave the queue and order a cup. She enjoyed it, but felt some component or flavor was missing; it was also a little ... thinner than she would have preferred. Being a certified soup savorer myself, I had to agree, based on the couple of spoonfuls I sampled. Amazing chowder! Located in Granville market. Fresh hot soups served with focaccia. Delicious!! They also have a fridge of cold soups to heat up at home Great location. Great service!

It really does not get any better than this. Fresh salmon chowder and a chunky slice of focaccia right by the dock? As a visitor, this was the most I could as for from the city and the market in general. I wish I could have taken some of this ... soup home with me! There was a giant variety and all fresh. This placed smelled really good, so I had to try the Smoked Salmon Chowder. I would say it was pretty flavorful, but not stunning. The chowder was a little thin / watery, I would've liked it to be a thicker consistency. Also the potato to Salmon ratio is definitely leaning ... more heavily on the potato side.
