What a sweet spot! I stopped in craving breakfast food after recognizing the name from distant past jaunts to the main st location. This Slickity Jim’s is the best! Excellent food, friendly and efficient team of people working there and it has some great decor pieces. I had a simplified ... version of a menu item as I had some food avoidances, and they were happy to oblige. I definitely will visit again, and it’s just a short stroll down from my dealership. A move from the old main location, the new Slickity Jim's offers up yummy and wholesome dishes at a reasonable cost. Portion sizes are huge with plates enough to share for those of smaller appetites and bites to spare for the average adult. Plates have the ... needed mix for brunch, with staples on the plate and done exceptionally well. Roasted potatoes were delicious and the side become a hotly contested snatch for my table. Shakshuka was well flavored with the hint of spice to keep you interested, while just beyond the to hot range. Breakfast bun was the most mundane that we ordered, but was presented well and delicious, especially it's avocado core. Really enjoyed my brunch here. Went early to miss the usual Vancouver rush, so was able to get a seat at the bar no problem. Our server was very nice and warm. And was extra helpful as to give us suggestions for what to have. I went for the pork short ... rib Benny, yummy! Only draw back and reason I gave 4 stars is that the pork portion was slightly on the small side. Just a extra little slice would of been nice, and the hollandaise source was ever so slightly on the bland side. But that’s just my opinion. Definitely check this place out and I will go back again.
