UNDERCOOKED PURPLE RICE in my yogurt drink!!! What are they thinking to serve me undercooked rice?? And it happened SEVERAL times! I am a FAN of this drink and almost ordered 3-4 times per week, and guess what, 6/8 my orders served with uncooked purple rice as shown on photos!!! This is ... UNSAFE and VERY UNACCEPTABLE, cus I didn’t give them 1 star at first and let them have 7 more chances to improve the drink quality! But I WAS WRONG, it seems they don’t care much about the quality control and don’t know how to manage their staffs to make it right! This is the 5th TIMES I was served with undercooked rice! Ordered the winter melon with fresh milk. Drink was really good. Pearls were decent. Overall I would get it again.

Been to this Happy Lemon a few times now. The service is always very good despite how busy it can be. Always get my order taken by this one girl and she’s always very nice and attentive. Takeout only right now, and there are a few parking stalls reserved for Happy Lemon in the plaza. Drinks come in 2 sizes: Medium or Large. My order: Taro & Purple Sweet Potato Fresh Milk: I really loved the taro balls, it’s perfectly sized and ultra chewy. I usually only order the ... fake powdered taro flavour at bubble tea places, because I dislike the powder/graininess of fresh taro. This was actually my first time trying real fresh taro, and I was pleasantly surprised. Subtle sweetness level of the drink was great (not too sweet), and it was very smoothly combined with the fresh milk. Biting into the chewy taro balls between sips just takes it to the next level. Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk: slightly sweet in my opinion, but I think that’s the general trend of brown sugar pearls and drinks everywhere.
