Off the Grid Waffle Cafe - Vancouver, British Columbia

First time ever trying chicken & waffles, and I was not disappointed! The Hasbrowns were really good, the chicken was amazing, and pair extremely well with the waffles. The eggs were also good, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The only issue slight issue I have with this place is that ... the chicken was a little too greasy in my opinion.. it wasn’t greasy to the touch but when you took a bite out of it you definitely got smacked with some. What a great place! Lots of yummy food that the kids just loved (me too 🤣). The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. My only issue is the waffles are a bit thin and I was hoping to really get the crispy outside and ... fluffy inside with my fried chicken. The waffles with desert are great! Will visit again. The atmosphere of the cafe is so great! I could order only a shake and sit in here. Also, the employee is very kind. Shake tastes much more delicious. Before I go to this place, I imagined a cafe that is similar to another cafe that is called "cafe". But, the place ... is close to the restaurant. Wow. Great food, great deal, don't know why this place isn't more popular. The fried chicken, waffles, potatoes were all super tasty, light and crispy. Pricing is very reasonable. Back of the house seems a bit dingy and the section of street it's on is a bit old, but this ... place is worth the visit for the food. Read more

Place seems to be new and it has some great quality to it. It was tidy and looking new. Though, it smelt little funky around the seat near washroom.... Staff were super kind and generous. They got wide range of food selection, from waffles to brunch. We had some shakes and waffles, ... they were all good but nothing too special. Compare to the quality, price seemed reasonable. Personally, this place is not my favorite, but definitely a place you should visit. Also, around its location, there are not that many bakeries or cafes, so if you happen to dine near and want to go for dessert, this is the place. Read more
