Belgian Fries - Vancouver, British Columbia

I've tried an excellent poutine once in Montreal, and it was amazing. I imagined in this place Poutine should be good to... but not. Some pieces of cheese curd was cold, and the fries not crunchy... not well cooked. I was very disappointed as I wanted to visit this place ... since long. They changed up their menu, added things to it. Good was great, fast nice place on the drive. Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch there. I had the deluxe poutine. 👌

Divine poutine which is pulled pork with cheese curds and gravy with a side of BBQ sauce. It was delicious 😋

I asked the Internet for the best poutine in Vancouver and it brought me here. After finding some ultra-convenient street parking for the Sprinter van, I was inside and smelling that delicious smell of fried foods. A quick study of the menu - 18 different poutines available plus hot dogs ... and sandwiches and burgers - I made my choice. Ten minutes later, I'm digging in to number 14, the "Smoked Beef" which is a Montreal-style smoked beef on top of classic poutine. And for those who don't know, poutine is Canada's gift to the world. French fries topped with cheese curds and gravy. I was "good" and chose the medium because anything more than that would have been pure gluttony. The toppings? Perfect. The fries? Oddly done with a crisp outside and it seemed like underdone inside. Still, delicious and four stars good. Good place for delicious comfort food. Visiting from Chicago and don't have local poutine places. Fries were fresh, gravy was rich and flavorful and the cheese curds were squeaky good!. Order at the counter and they give you a beeper to pick your food up ... at counter when it's ready. Nothing fancy, but a good lunch or snack! Read more
