Tartine Bread and Pies - Vancouver, British Columbia

I went to Tartine today 20 minutes before closing, only to be told I couldn’t buy anything because they were closing early for deep cleaning. Looks more like the staff wanted to leave early, rather than honour their advertised hours of business.

I love the little bear and menu options! The mushroom soup was delicious, and the slice of pie was a generous size. But the drip coffee had an odd vegetable flavour and I couldn’t finish it. Tried Tartine for the first time through DoorDash. Food arrived super fast. Unfortunately the bread fell apart when I tried to eat the sandwich. Saturated with sauce. Not what I expected for a $14 sandwich with no side.

The best pie 🥧 all their bakery is fresh. They have many options and ask for a special or promotion every day. I love the sandwich, wraps, bagel breakfast, merengue pie, and all the small tartines are delicious and also an early morning sugar-free muffin.

Local cozy place with a good variety menu from coffees, tarts, pastries, soups & …and of course its pies. As I consider this place as a local business, I expected more welcoming and maybe a bit well priced but except that I give 4 starts.
