Located in Granville Public Market, Stuart’s Bakery has attracted many tourists and formed a long line. We got hot cross bun, blueberry scone and nut & seed brittle. The granola was hyped. It was good. Nothing out of the ordinary. The chocolate chip cookie was mediocre. I should have tried the Nanaimo Bar.

Visited: 05/06/2023. We treated ourselves to dessert from Stuart's The Bakers (strawberry cheesecake and chocolate turtle). Both were delicious, and we wish we had bought more desserts. Staff seemed rushed off their feet though, so they seemed hurried to take your order and be gone.

We're in love with the chocolate mousse cake from Stuart's Bakery. Truthfully, we havn't tried very much else from their bakery besides their chocolate mousse cake. It's one of our favorite chocolate mousse cakes anywhere. It can also be found at Max's Deli on Oak St. at 16th as they ... are a sister shop to Stuart's Bakery. It's so smooth, chocolatey and decadent. There are lots of nice treats to be found on Granville Island but I think this chocolate mousse cake is always going to be #1 for us! This bakery has a large selection of baked goods on offer, including many cakes and tarts all invitingly on display. I tried the butter tart, Portuguese tart and the chocolate pecan tart. Each of the tarts were ok, the bases of the tarts were a little thick and the fillings were too ... sweet. The Portuguese tart filling was not so creamy and seemed a bit curdled. Whilst there is quite a selection that look good on display, I can't say that the pastries were particularly great and especially for the higher price. Read more
