Michelle was fantastic to work with and helped me accommodate a variety of dietary preferences. She had great suggestions and made the whole process very smooth. The food was also great - my stomach is usually sensitive and I felt no bloating afterwards (or my family who has the same ... issues as me). I love this place, some of the best prepared smoked pork shoulder in all of Vancouver! They make almost everything in house! I eat here almost once a week. Staff are super friendly and well educated on their house made products, kitchen staff is well trained and show thier expertise like a well ... worn t-shirt! Great place for lunch. Excellent sandwiches. Beef Brisket used for sandwich in the photo. Very tender meat and sandwich not sloppy. Great options for dessert too. Lots of seating, but only if you get there early. Fills up quickly. Food expensive, but fresh and great taste. Tucked away on Railway ... Avenue in Vancouver near Main Street. Lots of street parking. Close to DTES, but the area is changing and this place is proof of that. It is worth the stop. Read more

Railway/ Alexander area of downtown eastside is clean and quiet with lots of interesting places worth visiting! This cafe is in a heritage building with bright and cozy atmosphere. Their sandwiches were very good with quality ingredient though a bit on pricy side.

good sandwiches, but great soup. bonus points for always having a delicious vegetarian option for both soup and sandwiches.
