The bakery aroma will get you at the door so if you’re trying to limit your carbs and sweets, be forewarned! We were offered a sample of chocolate deliciousness, warm out of the oven. Heaven! I got a lemon cream scone and my hubby got the ham and cheese ... croissant. Also shared a toasted ham and seam sandwich, which was loaded w ham and helped stabilize all the sugar we consumed! A must visit boutique bakery while you are in Granville Island. They offer a wide variety of artisan bread, cookies, pastries and Sandwiches and their staff is so welcoming. I went with Thick Peanut Butter Awesomeness Butter cookie and Mandarin Orange Choco Scone. Peanut Butter cookie was a wholesome cookie with ... just the right amount of sugar (not too sweet)that you will enjoy every bite of it. Orange Mandarin scone is the best scone i have tasted in a while. Usually they are quite sweet but this freshly baked and delicious scone just melt in your mouth. Both the cookie and scone so good that i went back again to bakery for the same order. I found the bakery little pricier but considering the freshness and taste of their food, it is worth it. Best cookies in the city. A bold statement, I know, but I was lucky enough to be raised by a mom who makes incredible cookies, and I make pretty darn good cookies myself. On my best cookie day, however, I can’t compete with a cookie from Bread Affair. We love all ... of them, but our personal faves are the peanut butter and choco lava cookies. I generally don’t order peanut butter cookies, as they’re often dry and disappointing. Not these thicc n’ tasty culinary miracles, though. Chewy, just the right amount of sweetness, and a mouth feel that makes you want to break out in song. Cookie Pro Tip: freeze your cookie then slather the top in a layer of ice cream. Mmmmmm.
