It's tiny, clean, unassuming and obviously family run. Next to the Wierdo Cafe in a strip mall next to the VV boutique. Always see folks inside enjoying home style Cantonese fare. Ordered the egg plant with salted fish (super salty and the salted fish is in huge chunks! The chef needs to try this himself/herself and see if it's even edible!). The salted chicken tasted good (but it is not chopped properly. Not nicely presented. They even included the chicken ... neck, butt and head). The panfried rice noodles with beef (substituted with chicken) was ok. It lacks the "wok hey". Sweet sour fish was fantastic though. Very nice little Chinese restaurant in the area. It is run by a nice husband and wife who are very friendly. Food is delicious and prices are reasonable. Portion sizes are perfect. However, it is in a strip mall and the parking is very small and tight. Restaurant and bathrooms ... were clean and tidy. Read more

A little neighbourhood gem that's run by a husband and wife, going on 25+ years. I lived around the area in East Van for 15 years and had no idea until recently how good this place was, since it was tucked away with a very unassuming storefront. I've been back ... several times whenever I crave quality Cantonese food. I'd recommend bringing a small group and ordering the combos (clay pot dishes are good), where you get a 'free' marinated chicken or fresh fish dish on top of it. Hidden gem! Their clay pot rice is undoubtedly a must-try! Authentic and serve you warmth on a winter day. They may take a while to arrive as the rice pots are made to order and there's only one chef, but it is definitely well worth the wait.
