This is a very popular place for tourists or locals. If you have a weekend visiting Vancouver, you should put this place in your list. This is not only a market but there are lots of interesting spots within this island and surrounding area. Actually, it is not an island ... but you can ride ferries in the False Creek 9 docks getting around the whole area. A great place for eat, shop, drink, browse around, rent a boat or a little cruise in the creek. There are too many foods in the whole area. Fresh food, good bakeries, pies, donuts, fresh fruits and flowers, raw food, seafood, fresh make pasta and many more. If you don't travel with a car, the best way is getting a day pass from 2 ferries companies in the island. You can buy your day pass in the ferry. It cost $20 and $18 for senior and kids. There are 9 docks around the False Creek. Take you time have fun there. The food court is very busy. If you plan eating the food outside and enjoying the view, please be aware of the aggressive seagulls. If you are lucky, may be you will meet an eagle patrol the dock area. This place is amazing. If someone doesn't like this place then they suck at life... Seriously. The surrounding scenery is amazing and all the food stalls get your taste buds all worked up! The aromas in certain parts took me back to my Paris travels. The restrooms! With all the people using ... the restrooms. They are extremely clean! I would not mind handling business if needed. We took a ferry to the island and had a good time. We walked around and were in and out of many shops. It's a beautiful place and offers a lot of shopping experiences. It would help if tourists knew how to navigate better while they're visiting.

This is an amazing place with all sorts of amazing food/drink! There are a number of other shops focused on local talent/artists. Great place to spend a day. Plenty of boat tours available to see local wildlife and scenery. Parking is limited so if you can ... come by aquabus or some other form of public transportation, I would definitely recommend it. During a long weekend in Vancouver, I made sure to include a visit to Granville Island Public Market in my trip plans and recommendations. I absolutely adore open markets like this one, where you can not ... only buy fresh produce and goods but also enjoy a bite to eat right on the premises. The market is atmospheric, clean, and beautifully maintained, making it a pleasure to stroll through. The selection here is impressive, with a wide array of vegetables, fruits, meats, and more. You can grab a meal and enjoy it at one of the many seating areas, while listening to live music playing on the street. Getting to Granville Island Public Market is easy and enjoyable as well. You can reach it by a charming small ferry, which adds a unique touch to your visit, or on foot across the scenic bridge, offering lovely views along the way. However, a word of caution: be mindful of the seagulls. These birds can be quite aggressive and might try to snatch your food if you're not careful. Overall, Granville Island Public Market is a must-visit destination in Vancouver for anyone who loves open markets and fresh, tasty food. Read more
