Perhaps it's because we've been here a number of times as a family, so the servers are warmer than you'd expect at an average Chinese dining experience. This place is a great little neighborhood gem. The afternoon meals before dinner time usually come with a drink (chinese set meals), portions are good sized, service is quick and usually friendly, and everything tastes pretty good. During dinner they have the several courses + free plate of something deal. ... Place is pretty small and some tables are packed tightly but overall I like this place! I recommend making reservations at dinner time though as I didn’t a few times and they had to turn me away, which is how I discovered Van Dragon Chinese Restaurant across the street which I highly highly recommend! Great place for group lunch. They changed their menu that seems more Hong Kong style cafe. The Curry Beef brisket with rice and Fried Vermicelli was very tasty. Free street parking along Hastings and Lakewood.

Great service, fantastic food and amazing value - large portions. Definitely coming back. We had the Malaysian curry with chunks of beef brisket in noodle soup and Singaporean laksa.
