We couldn't get reservations at our favorite restaurant but we're pleasantly surprised we could make reservations here, and on a weekend evening nonetheless. We were further surprised when we walked into the restaurant and realized we were the only ones there. My salad was simply chopped up lettuce while the pasta was ... overcooked. The reason this restaurant, in the middle of Yorkville was empty, probably had to do with the fact that they have no repeat customers. Avoid! Read more
Wonderful experience at Vaticano. The food was delicious, authentic and high quality. The four of us ordered pasta dishes. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauces were very flavourful. To top it all off, we had tiramisu for dessert - authentic and a generous portion size too. Service ... was top notch and staff were very friendly and attentive - we felt very welcome here. This has to be my favourite Italian restaurant in Toronto! Every meal we tried is better than the next & bursting with flavour, that you want to savour every bite! We took the entire family & shared a few appetizers - meatballs, artichokes and mushrooms, and for the main ... courses we had the Veal Lasagna, Pasta with Lobster and Pasta Carbonara. The service & atmosphere is excellent. It’s perfect for a date night, special occasion or to bring your entire family!
