This place is sooooooooo gooooood!!!! The food is amazing, the service is very good. I loved the merlot wine. I will definitely come back. You can check their menu online though. You must know that you can park at the street and that their kitchen closes at 10pm.

There has been a shift in ownership from husband-and-wife to solely the wife. The quality of the food and service has not changed at all; they are both very high. The same chef is there and the menu is still largely the same. Adam, formerly of The Monks Table, is ... both knowledgeable and good at managing the restaurant. Highly recommended place to visit. The tables are small and not well spaced apart. The wine list is excellent. As mentioned above, the service is excellent. We shared everything, and they divided everything between us which saved a lot of struggle. We had the house salad which was crunchy and interesting.This was followed by the chicken, which was crispy and hot, hidden from view with a salad type topping accompanied by a small portion of green beans with slivered almonds. A very cute spot for a romantic date. The mussels were amazing and one of the best I've had in a while. The steak was tasty too but slightly over-seasoned with herbs so it got too salty after eating about half of it. The bread and butter was good as ... well. Service was also excellent. Read more

L’Avenue is a smallish, charming bistro that serves up delicious French Cuisine. Great way to spend a romantic evening or a lovely place to enjoy with friends. L'Avenue is probably my favourite restaurant in the city, perfect blend of atmosphere, service and quality of food. The beef bourguignon is my favourite, fatty and tasty and savoury. If you can get it, the bone marrow is also heavenly. Great wine list, but I'm not an oenophile. I've liked everything I've ... had so far!
