Really incredible Ethiopian food in a homey atmosphere with lovely service. My friend and I wanted authentic Ethiopian food in Toronto (as people who grew up in New York/Philly) and this place delivered! We got the Taste of Shalom to split so we could try a variety of vegetarian dishes, a ... meat (lamb), and plenty of injera, as well as a fresh coffee. Service was super friendly, and they were able to adjust the heat on the meat portion to suit our preferences. Prices were also extremely reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. The long wait for the food is definitely worth it. I tried the vegetarian platter and my friend had the meat platter. And the coffee ceremony was exquisite.

First time trying Ethiopian cuisine the ambiance and hospitality 10/10 plus the food tasted so good. Vegetarian friendly options too which is little tricky in Canada. Must visit and especially coffee must try. The owner was super welcoming kudos to her

Awesome! Just awesome! I loved the Kitfo! We also ordered the Shalom plate. Get the Kitfo raw the way it should be eaten and you won't be disappointed. The seasoning is perfect and the staff are so friendly. I feel like I'm visiting a friend ... versus eating at a restaurant. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of beer or tej, but the food was awesome and more than made up for the lack of alcohol. There was a steady stream of customers as well that came in despite the subzero temperature. Much like the Terminator, I'll be back the next time I'm in the Toronto area. Read more

This was such a great restaurant! I've never had Ethiopian food before so was excited to try. It was really delicious! The shared plate for 2 was a perfect amount of food. The service was amazing.
