Carver’s Steakhouse - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Took our son to Carver's to celebrate his 21st birthday and we had a wonderful meal together. He had the 16 oz ribeye, while my wife had the filet mignon. I myself had the halibut and it was delicious. We all enjoyed our food and drinks very much. Our server was ... attentive and very friendly which made the experience that much better. The atmosphere of the restaurant is FANTASTIC. With muted pools of soft lighting suspended over each table and darker interior finishes, we felt like we were in a very classy place for sure. Had a private event in the Hampton room with 23 guests. We chose their reserve menu. The servers started drink orders promptly, followed by the meal service. Meals were delivered in a reasonable amount of time, the food was hot and we have very few concerns, and many more compliments ... from the attendees. It was a lovely dining experience. I had a solo dinner reservation here for my birthday. The meals were healthy, with options to add-on. I ordered the welldone ribeye steak and it was juicy, moist and not dried out. The brussel sprouts were so good. I ordered the romaine and ... kale salad to start, it was a decent portion. The server offered to give me complementary brownies and ice cream for dessert, but I was stuffed already, so I declined - but it was a nice touch. Oh I also got a complementary appetizer. We really enjoyed our time here. Our server Kasandra (I believe) was one of the best servers I've ever had. So attentive & whitty. Servers can make or break the experience and she made the experience. I highly recommend the beet, pistachio salad with blackened salmon. From starter, appies, entrees, ... dessert and drinks 10/10. The dishes are a bit pricey but worth it. I had the braised short ribs and it was more than enough, I ordered the brussel sprouts as a side dish and couldn't finish them. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The waitresses were very friendly and ... very pleasant to talk to. Read more
