Vern’s Pizza - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

We used to own a Vern's franchise, so when I come to S'toon I wanted to check out one of the originals. Very disappointing, toppings were not up to standard, girl at the counter seemed to hate her job, she did the absolute bare minimum of the job. No smile, ... no greeting, just take the money and pass the pizza. We got a special price for the anniversary, however without that I would never have paid the price that was being asked. Big fan of this place. The slices are a little expensive but are basically a whole meal themselves. I'm especially a fan of their dry ribs, they're great for when you have a bunch of people over. Vern's pizza is my all-time go-to pizza joint. I absolutely am a huge fan of the momma mia pizza. Who knew a 10-pound pizza was possible, but they perfected it awesome. Vern's will always be #1

Vern's Pizza on 11th St (The original Verns) used to be great pizza. The last few times we have ordered the pizza has been burnt, old and dried out and the large dry ribs (supposedly 2lbs) has been 1.5 lbs or less. $100 for a burnt pizza and shorted ribs ... is just not worth it. Whatever changes have been made in the last 6+ months or so are very disappointing and I think that Vern's should be very disappointed in themselves for serving this product. Read more

Vern has a carwash, gas station, convenience store, and to go pizza. Food was good and it is close to the Gordie Howe campground if you are hungry.
