Granada House - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

The world needs more booths! Coming to Granada House was a reminder of how it used to be… restaurants with spacious inviting booths that bring a feeling of intimacy to your outing paired with a straight forward well-done menu. I have a soft spot for Saskatoon’s legacy Greek restaurants, but ... even without a heart full of nostalgia Granada House is a solid dining choice if you want big portions of classic cuisine. The food came out hot and fresh. Our pizza was thick and the cutlets were thin. The entire bill was $50. What more do you need? The lemon roast potatoes left something to be desired, not the city’s best but not the worst either. Next time I’d opt for spaghetti as my side. The restaurant seems to draw an entirely different clientele than the attached separated lounge. The entire restaurant was impeccably clean and organized. There were zero handwritten notes stuck around the POS terminals and not a candy wrapper out of place at the front. The staff seem to care about the service they provide and I wonder if many have been with the establishment for decades or more. The place has that kinda vibe, and it’s noticeable as a patron. In some ways I’m reviewing Granada House on its feelings more than its food, but in some ways the experience outweighs the product. I’ve always maintained that no restaurant is bad if you enjoyed going and I hope others feel the same way when they dine here. Read more

This was my first experience at Granada house. Elisa was my server and she was fantastic! Super friendly and on top of everything! (Very much on point running back and forth with my drink refills!) I started with the soup which was beef barley. It was very good, almost like how ... mama used to make it! I then had the steak special and it was cooked beautifully to my liking. My choice of potato was fries which were nicely crisped and the veggies paired with the meal balanced it out nicely. The restaurant was quiet this evening, most likely due to the cold weather. But I can tell that with the way the lay out of the restaurant is, even at its busiest, you’ll still feel like you have your privacy in a nice cozy, welcoming dining environment. Something for everyone! The online order process was easy to use. The food was ready for pick-up quickly. This was my first experience and it was good! The pizza was hot and delicious. Fresh and made in house pasta, sauce, and the works, even the toast you get, is of the highest of quality for a place you would never think of ever coming to. If you want some legit food, you come here and get the gorgeous pasta. 😍

Awesome pizza. Thick crust with stuffing for the whole slice, not just the crust. It's totally worth the money. Creamy cheese on the top makes it even more delicious. Would love to try dine-in the next time to enjoy the hot pizza freshly made. Take out was awesome too, but ... dine-in would be much better!! 100% recommended. Go for it!! Read more
