Day olds are still really fresh and half price. Staff are not very personal but will talk to you if spoken to. Pastries are terrific.

Went to get some donuts, which were very good!!! I was unaware how old the store was so I was a bit shocked when I walked in. Floor was so creaky it scared me, but lots of room for the work to be done in the back. Took a few ... minutes to get served but realized the counter person was also doing some work in the back. Poppyseed rolls: 6/5 because they were still oven warm when I ate one. Frozen pierogies and borscht 4/5 (5/5 reserved for grandma). Service was friendly and super helpful despite a busy Xmas weekend rush and it has the character of an old time bustling bakery. Definitely worth a special ... trip. Read more

I have always loved the donuts at Nester’s bakery ever since I was a kid! They were just as delicious as I remember them from the 80’s. I decided to stop by on a Saturday afternoon around 4:20. They were getting renovations done, so it was a little noisy and ... smelly inside. Despite the noise and smell, the service was very good. The lady at the counter was patient and kind. I wanted to note my time of arrival, simply because at this hour, the donuts for 30% off. Yippee!!! As you enter the store, it’s not a very big area but upon arrival, there’s a section with discounted buns and bread along with day-old donuts. I bought them along with the fresh ones and believe it or not my boys loved the day old ones just as much as the fresh ones. You can get a bag of four donuts for two dollars. I believe my total was a little over $12 with a discount I am paying paying $8.00!!!! Support local!!! Read more
