Walked in with 4 other family members, long line but we only waited about 10 minutes. Our server was really nice, her name was Nia. Have been loyal customers for years but after what my husband and I saw today I can say there will need to be some dramatic changes to get us back as a customers. While standing in line inside tonight my husband noticed the coolers by the entrance door where fairly ... empty, so he went to go look at the flavors that they did have of their pints and when he looked inside he couldn't believe what he was seeing. So I went over to look and what I saw was BLACK GREEN FUZZY MOLD growing inside the coolers. The cooler where they sold their novelty treats had it all over the metal shelves. Looking closer at the place as a whole my husband and I agreed we both in all the years that we have been going to homestead have never seen the place so dirty. All the coolers were grimey and in need of a cleaning. This experience has made us both so uncomfortable that we left for the first time with making no purchase and until these problems have been fixed we will not be coming back. Read more

Stopped in about a week ago and we were the only people there. The girl behind the counter stood up but didn't offer a smile, a hi or any acknowledgement. Felt like it was an inconvenience to take her away from her cell. Looking over the selection in the showcase ... we were very disappointed - barely any choices and zero chocolate options. Its summer - that freezer should be full with extra stock underneath the opened tubs on top! The place was filthy and looks very run down! Disappointing how this business went downhill....and very poor responses from the owners on recent reviews. Way to build your business to try & gain customers back - obviously have never been in retail business before to understand how to deal feedback, POSITIVE or NEGATIVE. What a trip down memory lane. Love this ice cream shop that I’ve been visiting since childhood. So many flavor and treat options along with super friendly service. Love the ambiance and the different seating options - indoor and outdoor are available.
