Summer Roll Family Restaurant - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Nice restaurant with good options and variety on their menu. The service was prompt and friendly plus there is free parking out front. The place is clean but nothing out of the ordinary.

Came here for the first time. It was an early afternoon on a Saturday, and it was fairly busy. We ordered the deep fried wonton, deep fried shrimp and a chicken stir fry.  The wontons were tasty but very small.   The shrimp had an okay taste but was heavily ... battered.  The chicken stir fry looked good but didn't have any taste other than salt, and a couple of pieces of cauliflower had brown age spots on them. Both of those dishes were a reasonable size.  Steamed rice doesn't come as a side.   The server wasn't overly friendly, but polite enough.  Our orders were slow, with a few minutes gap between receiving each dish. There was a huge gap between receiving the shrimp and the stir fry, and we thought they must have forgotten it, but it finally arrived, after our shrimp was mostly eaten, and we were eating very slowly.  So service was very disappointing, and we weren't much impressed with what we ate. It was a fast-food/mall quality type of food, and we were expecting something more. The restaurant is a bit crowded but appeared clean. Our guest ordered the XL beef & beef ball rice noodle soup  and said it was good, and we noticed most of the other patrons had ordered pho as well, so we may return just to try the pho. Read more

Absolutely wonderful place!! The food was amazing. Soooo much flavor in the Beef Rice Noodle Soup. Summer Shrimp Rolls are a beautiful crisp treat. Highly recommend this place. Very nice staff.

Came here for the first time. Friday evening close to 6 pm. Was it busy this evening that we showed up. Line up for pickup of food to go and barely any tables for dine in guests. Food was tasty. It did not bother me to badly. ( I have a ... shell food allergy, and if there is fish sauce added for flavoring, it could bother me as some are using a shellfish base) Out of the four of us, I was the only one to have pho. Everyone else had rice vermicelli bowls with spring rolls on top. We also had their summer rolls to taste to see if it was any good. All very tasty and the guests with us had normally ordered from this location for delivery. They were impressed that the food tasted much different compared to being taken out containers. A good difference so now they have something they can go by for tastes. Parking as tight getting in and out of the spots in that lot as there are many different businesses in that strip mall. While it's not the absolute cheapest Vietnamese restaurant in Saskatoon, the quality and service here are impeccable. You can expect to spend $10-20 for your meal and receive a healthy portion.
