Would not return. This is your typical 'hole in the wall' which wouldn't bother us in the slightest if the food and service was good, and pricing reflected size and lack of decor and frills (like at Kelly's Kafe). We have wanted to try it out for a while as we ... are always looking for places that do all day breakfast. We arrived at 10:59 AM, restaurant was totally empty (there are only 6 tables) and asked if breakfast special was still on (after 11 AM it goes up $1/pp. If price had gone up we would have gone next door to Spring Roll where we knew for sure food was good). We were told it was still on, so ordered breakfasts immediately. Service wasn't super fast, considering restaurant was empty when we came in, but it wasn't horribly slow either. When food came, it was only mediocre. Poached eggs were hard, nothing seemed homemade. When we paid, guy up-charged us. We said we'd been in under the gun, AND asked if special still on, but he stonily stuck to higher charge. It's only a buck a person, and, frankly, if food had been good, we would have chosen this as new breakfast spot. But with shabby interior, not great service and blah food - we won't bother. Not at all impressed with this "restaurant". My husband was brought his meal 1st, and by the time he was nearly done, mine was brought out. Low quality products, frozen vegetable mix was still frozen, but rice was so hot, burnt my mouth. Menu is mostly "Canadian" food...was hard to ... find the "chinese" menu on the back of the menu. The food here is amazing & so delicious. First Chinese Restaurant I've ever been to in my childhood days. It's more than a restaurant to me as I have my precious memories of coming here many times.
Great little hidden gem. Had a double cheese burger with fries. Lots of food and great value. Will definitely be back!!
