Meg’s Restaurant - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

If I could give zero, I would. Ordered last night on Skip, waited 2 hours and finally I get a message telling me it's delivered. Amazing! I go look outside. Nothing. Nothing at the front door, the side door, or the neighbors. Yes I looked like a crazy person looking ... at me neighbors doorsteps. So I go into skip to claim that I didn't receive anything, and they tell me that since this "restaurant" manages its own delivery, that I'd have to take it up with them. So I google maps it to get a phone number. Firstly on skip, this restaurant is called Meg's Diner. On maps it's called Meg's Restaurant. Kind of fishy but addresses match so I know I have the place. No phone number. I'm pretty hungry and angry by this point to I decide to drive the 5 minutes and go and see what's up. I pull up during the hours they claim on skip and on maps that they're open. And it's CLOSED. Absolutely unbelievable. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that someone in their house is accepting orders and screwing everyone over. I wish the worst for these scammers. The owner tried to scam me years ago when he opened up. Although a legitimate review it was removed from Google. It popped up and I see tons of people are getting scammed so definately beware of this place. The food was actually decent but at the check out random ... charges were added and the owner thought I was stupid. We had an argument about the price and I told him to get the menu and we will add it up. At this point obviously I didn't tip. I gave him the exact total and left. Never returned. ordered on skip tonight and food never arrived. same issue as other people, the order never comes, the order gets changed to completed, then they have no contact information to try and address the probpem. Don't buy from here, don't wast your money.

Made the mistake of placing an order on Skip. The first time I did, a couple years back, I actually got my food, but 2 times, this year, I placed an order on Skip and never got my food. The first time it happened, I thought it was just because I ... dozed off, but I didn't see any attempt to contact me, but this second time around, I was wide awake and they marked my food as "Delivered," despite that they never called me or buzzed up my apartment. I checked both doors to the building and my food wasn't there. Skip told me I have to contact the restaurant about it, since they handle their own delivery. Twice, I wasted nearly $50 (almost $100, combined) on this business, only to not get my food, and I'm seeing that I'm not alone with this horrible experience and horrible service. Let my review, along with many others be a warning to NEVER order from Meg's Diner. This "business" should be shut down for stealing people's money, and the owners should be in jail for it, too. This restaurant has the best East Indian cuisine in Saskatoon, hands down. Especially the butter chicken and rice. For a long stretch I was always here for my lunch meals for up to half the week. This was possible because the prices at Meg's Restaurant are very very affordable and ... since the food is so good it is incredibly great value. Read more
