Crazy cheap Vietnamese sandwiches in the south shore of Montreal. Small family place. Closes early though. Looks to be owned and operated by a family. I will recommend if you are on a budget.
GENERAL: This place has the best tasting Bahn Mi I have had so far in Montreal. I went with my boyfriend and we had the combos which included a spring roll or imperial roll, a mini bowl of pho and of course a Bahn Mi ; all for under 12$. Environement/ Service: The ... restaurant looks like a small bistro with a display counter of products that they sell as well. It is a small family run business but they do go above and beyond to make the space warm and welcoming. We were greeted when we got inside and there was soft music playing and it was very inviting. Service was super fast and very friendly. STARTERS: The spring roll was so fresh and the balance of flavor was amazing and the peanut butter sauce was to die for. The imperial was crispy and crunchy and also had great flavor. The Pho had a nice acidity and warmth to it and was overall delicious. BAHN MI: Now let's talk about the Bahn Mi. If you are going to get the Bahn Mi get the "all dressed" three different kinds of pork = cannot go wrong. The flavor combination in this Bahn Mi is mouth watering. It is hearty from the pork, sweet from the dressing, earthy from the fresh cilantro and tangy from the slightly but not overwhelmingly pickled vegetables. You get a nice doughy bit from the fresh bread and a nice crunch from the vegetables. It is a flavor explosion in your mouth. Both my boyfriend and I could not get over how delicious it was. VERDICT/RECCOMENDATION: I will be reccomending this small family run business and restaurant to literally everyone I can. The food is delicious and the environment is warm and welcoming.
