Skye Cafe and Bistro - Regina, Saskatchewan

It’s been awhile since I visited but I genuinely did enjoy my experience at this establishment. It’s a very small and tight space so there are definitely some tables that I can imagine aren’t super comfortable to sit at (luckily we got a good spot further to the back Beside a ... window) If you don’t mind feeling a bit claustrophobic it’s cozy and it’s decorated really nice. There are lots of plants…lots of dead ones too lol and beautiful natural light that pours in. Only negative is that they don’t have their entrance set up well with an effective procedure for welcoming customers in and seating them. When I was there my party and I were ignored left standing in the lobby for 10 ish minutes before a waiter finally came over and told us he would be with us shortly and then we still had to wait for another couple minutes while he dealt with taking orders and bringing out meals (somewhat understandable as it was busy and there were only two staff members out on the floor) The waiter was friendly and chatty but it was a bit of a wait for the food. Food was good! I actually received a different variation of what I ordered (I can’t remember what the name of it was) It was an English muffin sandwich and on the menu there was a shrimp version and a non shrimp version I received the shrimp one despite ordering the non shrimp one but whatever I ate and enjoyed it anyway. However, if you’re someone with an allergy I would be careful at this place if errors in orders is a trend. I also ordered a specialty coffee and it was delicious! 8/10 Read more

Shakshuka and Hawaiian pancakes were delicious! The food deserved 4.5/5. If i have to nitpick, the pancakes were a bit too soggy. The portion was perfect but i would like more bread for my shakshuka. Latte with rose white chocolate and pistachio was one of the best :) Service was slow ... like the others said. Got here at 1:30 on a Saturday, a lot of empty tables that were not cleared. After seated, we waited 15 mins for the waiter to take our order, food came after another 20 mins. Overall, the food was great! Will come again!! Read more

Skype is a magical place filled with plants and eclectic things. In the summer months the deck is amazing. The Rainbow Salad with shrimp is my favourite; fresh, delicious, and filling. My friend & I were seated at a table beside a window you could feel the cold 🥶 coming through the window 🪟 literally so I never took off my jacket. Initially when I arrived the staff kept asking if I had a reservation? I was meeting my friend there she ... was already seated inside. Once the staff seen my friend beckoning me I guess they decided they might as well grant me access inside 🤗☝️😆😆😆😆😆. I happily went to where she was seated. I give the server a 7 out of 10 . We had enquired a few times about deserts n she said she was going to bring us the list of deserts which she must have forgot so after 30 min or longer we politely reminded her of what she had said.
