We had an excellent meal last night at Ciccio. I had the veg penne with an arrabiata sauce, and Roch had the linguine pescatore which had huge scallops and shrimp - and the plate was rimmed with at least a dozen and a half mussels. Ciccio... a restaurant that’s been in Ottawa for 45 years and I just recently discovered this gem!! We were greeted at the door by the manager and seated right away. The decor and colours create a very lovely atmosphere for the restaurant. We tried multiple items on the menu and ... most of it was perfect! The Caprese salad could use a bit of dressing and a stronger cheese. Other than that, everything else was a delight. The lasagna is one of the best I’ve ever had! Would highly recommend it if you visit Ciccio! Problem with the service is that the waitress starting removing our plates and cutlery before we where all done, and the person that was not done she asked if she was. being that she removed all ... our desert cutlery we basically decided to leave without.
