Buffet la Stanza - Montreal, Quebec

I used to frequent this establishment with my family in the first several years that it opened and it was one of the finest buffets that there was. My understanding is that the original Italian owners sold it to some Asian people and what the new owners do with food ... is a crime against humanity. Absolutely horrible. Floor, plates, glasses are filthy and the food is disgusting. The employees don't care about all the filth. We have gone in there for brunch and the only thing we found was day old entries.

I used know quite well a La Stanza in Rosemere (Now Closed) but not due to the quality of the restaurant but due to lack of parking and the one in Rosemere was fantastic, food was excellent, but this one on Jean Talon was a total waste of a 40 ... min ride and they have the nerve to charge you $20 a head for the bad food that they serve, I highly recommend to everyone to skip this place or you go and you be the judge, the food was luke warm and a lot of it did not taste that good. This place was absolutely awful ! went on lunch time . My boyfriend and I drove 40 minutes there , when we arrived we were welcomed in an unpleasant way and served a dirty table that had crumbs and garbage underneath it !! When we went to get our ... first food , a lot of the food bins were empty and what was there looked very unappetizing . When we finally tried our food , you could right away taste how they don't care about their clients because there was absolutely no quality in the food they made .we didnt even get the chance to try the meat (there was only leftovers) because there was no one to cut and serve it the whole time !And the desserts (that were some little pies that had the texture of a carpet , some black thrown in a bowl bananas and some dirty ice cream that had dirt the sides of the container ! CAN NOT believe we spent 25$ there , never going again ! Looked more like a soup kitchen than anything else ! Don't recommend to anyone ! I knew La Stanza from when it opened. This is not that place. The location may be the same but that , is all. The buffet was putrid. Some of the dessert had gone bad. The service, if you want to call it that, was more than lacking. There ... was NOT ONE bit of the selection that was worth 16.95 per person. MacDonald's is a better option compared to this. People , allow me to save you some money and a stomach ache. Go ANYWHERE else. A step up would be LA BELLE PROVINCE. I can think of no greasier spoon. La Stanza, rest in peace.
