Have been going to this place for the past 3,5 years with my bf. And every single time, we are blown away. The staff, the food, the atmosphere.. everything is always great! We also got the chance to order take out during quarantine and were not disappointed :)

We were a pretty large group, and we had a private room in back, which was great. We had a reduced menu, which is perfectly acceptable, it was just a shame we couldn't have the gnocchi, which is always good. The other homemade pasta was very interesting, served in a beurre ... blanc saffron sauce. The foie gras entrée came with a coconut spread which was a surprisingly good match. The pain perdu made from pannetone (I think) was totally delicious. So as you see, this restaurant isn't afraid of taking classic dishes and giving it a twist. Went there for a Sunday Brunch and it's one of the best ones I have so far 😍 I would recommend the Pumpkin Pancakes and the Foie Gras Torchon from their brunch menu.

This tiny restaurant sitting at the corner of Charlevoix and Centre in La Pointe (Pointe-Saint-Charles) is a hidden gem. It's light wood rustic decor welcomes you warmly inside, making up for the nondescript facade and black and white restaurant sign. Better reserve, as there's not many tables. The place has ... roughly 25 seats in the front section and a second room I didn't visit. The menu is short and simple, with a few additional offerings on a board that form the day's table d'hôte. We ordered the filet du lac and the pasta du jour (gnocchi au guinea fowl sauce), both from the table d'hôte. As an entrée, I had the escargots gratinés (a reasonable extra for the gratinée version was well worth it) and she had the soup du jour, both delicious. We then shared the 3 bernardins. Three dips with warm sledges of pita bread. So good! A salmon terrine, red pepper and tzaziki dip were all homemade, fresh and to die for. It's a lot for two, though... The portion is more suited to a table of four, I believe. The gnocchis were perfect, so flavourful. The fish was a little overcooked, and the accompanying potato wedges, though cooked to perfection with an edge darkly roasted, a little over salted for my taste. Still a very enjoyable plate, though that made me a little jealous of the gnocchis. It's a BYOB, and we enjoyed a very fine bottle of Domaine Paulille 2015 Collioure with this meal. My total came to 50$, tax and service included. We didn't partake in the dessert menu, as we were full from having finished the bernardins with everything else... but crème brûlée, affogato, brownies and shortcake were available for patrons with a sweet tooth and the requisite dessert appetite! All in all, a new addition to my list of favorites in Montréal that I'll make sure to visit again soon. P.S. just read in other reviews there is a second room at the back we didn't see. Great food, good prices for what you get BYOB, very quaint. Great date place! Good for small groups as well, either way reservations are highly recommended whether you're 2 or 10. It's actually an old home they converted into a restaurant so there is the main first room you ... see from outside but there are actually 2 other rooms inside for a total of 3 rooms for seating and dining! Soft lighting, candles and small tables everywhere. They even have blankets for you in case you get cold. The restaurant can seat about 20 in the main room and 8 in the 2nd and 3rd room. I know there is a terrace in warmer months but since it was December I didn't get to see. They have a regular menu with appetizers, all beyond basics, and they have a table d'hôte menu that switches up. The table d'hôte is the more worth it of course. When we went it range from 24-37. You can't pay the difference if you want to switch an appetizer. The meals range from 20-30 as well. The appetizers go from 5 for soup of the day to 12 for the fancier 3 dip with pita bread option but the other options were under 10$. Our waitress Stephanie was sweet and even asked if I had a dog for leftovers (bones) which I thought was nice. All of our food was really delicious, would definitely go back. Read more
